To get started, take our risk assessment, so that we can determine your risk of denial in order to maximize your chance of travel visa approval. The questions asked are from the actual travel visa application –– we’ve worked closely with a former consular officer to identify the right questions to ask to determine your potential risk. Once you’ve answered a few questions, we’ll guide you through the checkout process and get to work on your application.
It is always at the discretion of the interviewing consular officer to either approve or deny your travel visa. Denials are common during the travel visa process, so if you do get denied, it is still possible to apply again. Boundless offers denial protection –– in the event that your travel visa is denied, we’ll help you re-apply once for free. *Please note you will still have to pay the government fee again, just not the Boundless fee.
After you’ve filed your travel visa application (Form DS-160), the next step in the process is to schedule your visa interview. Wait times for visa appointments vary by country, so answer a few quick questions and we’ll provide you with the average time it takes to get an interview date based on where you’re applying from.
Your visa interview will take place at the U.S. Embassy or consulate where you’ve filed your application. During the interview, a consular officer will ask you questions about your intended travel to the U.S., your life in your home country, and your immigration background. The consular officer may also corroborate information you’ve included in your application and review any supporting documents you’ve brought with you.
If this seems stressful, don’t worry! We’re here to help you schedule the soonest available interview, prepare any supporting documents you might need, and practice your responses so you can attend your interview with confidence.
Boundless can help you assemble and file your B-1/B-2 travel visa application for $195. This flat rate covers your complete application package, interview scheduling, and personalized support from start to finish. Applicants also pay a $185 filing fee directly to the U.S. government. When it comes time to file, we’ll guide you through when and how to pay the government fee.
Neither Boundless nor any third party can guarantee that an applicant for a travel visa will be approved. The decision to approve or deny an application is completely up to the U.S. government.
Every application that is completed through Boundless, however, is thoroughly reviewed by our dedicated team before it is submitted to the U.S. government. We also do our best to prepare you for the travel visa interview, with live prep sessions and tips from our team trained by a former consular officer (who has conducted thousands of travel visa interviews in the past).
Overall, there are many factors that may affect an applicant’s odds of approval. To improve your chances of success, take our risk assessment and we’ll make a visa plan tailored to your specific situation.
Only nationals from certain countries are required to obtain B-1/B-2 visas to enter the U.S.
Most Canadian citizens don’t need a travel visa and will automatically be admitted on a B-1 visa or B-2 visa for tourism or business purposes.
Additionally, the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) is a program that allows citizens of certain countries to travel to the U.S. for tourism, business, or while in transit without obtaining a visa. To participate in the Visa Waiver Program, travelers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to entering the U.S. The ESTA is an online system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program.
Visit the State Department website to see if your country is VWP designated. If it is, you can obtain your ESTA through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website.
The B-1/B-2 travel visa is a type of non-immigrant visa issued by the U.S. government for temporary travel purposes. It allows foreign nationals to visit the U.S. for business (B-1) or pleasure/tourism (B-2) for a limited period of time. The travel visa does not allow the visa holder to work or study during their time in the U.S. You can learn more about the requirements of the travel visa in Boundless’ B-1/B-2 guide.

However, you can still get a head start!
Plan your meeting: Start making plans to meet your partner in person.
Learn the requirements: Familiarize yourself with the K-1 process and gather the necessary documents.
Yes! If your children are unmarried and under 21, they can join you in the U.S. with K-2 visas.

No, the K-1 Fiancé(e) Visa isn’t your only option! If you’re not yet married but want to live in the U.S. together, consider the CR-1 Spousal Visa. This allows you to marry outside the U.S., and then your spouse can become a permanent resident.

At this time, Boundless is only able to help couples apply for a marriage green card through the adjustment of status process when the sponsor is a U.S. citizen. We are not able to assist if the sponsor is a U.S. green card holder.
We are not able to support applications of this kind due to their complexity and recent government changes to the Visa Bulletin, which determines when couples are able to file their adjustment of status application.
If you have specific questions about your immigration status or ability to sponsor your spouse for a green card through the adjustment of status process, you may be interested in our attorney consultation service. Learn more about the program and sign up to speak to an immigration attorney here.
The “Adjustment of Status” process is for those green card applicants currently living in the United States. Green card applicants living in and applying from the United States file Form I-485 (the “Adjustment of Status” application). The I-485 is filed with USCIS, and its primary purpose is to establish that the individual is eligible for a green card. Adjustment of status can also be used to apply for employment-based, humanitarian, and diversity visa lottery green cards.
Adjustment of status is the immigration process for the following marriage visa types:
- IR6/CR6 spouse and accompanying IR7/CR7 child when the sponsor is a U.S. citizen
- F2A category (F26 spouse; F27 child) when the sponsor is a legal permanent resident (aka green card holder)*
- CF1 spouse; CF2 child when the sponsor is a U.S. citizen and the foreign spouse is adjusting status from a K fiancé visa
*Please note that at this time, Boundless is only able to help couples apply for a marriage green card through the adjustment of status process when the sponsor is a U.S. citizen. We are not able to assist if the sponsor is a U.S. green card holder (F2A category). This is due to the complexity of these types of cases and government policies related to the F2A category’s status in the Visa Bulletin.

The main difference is the length of your marriage at the time of visa approval. If you’ve been married for less than two years, you’ll receive a CR-1 (Conditional Resident) visa, which leads to a 2-year green card. If you’ve been married for two years or more, you’ll receive an IR-1 (Immediate Relative) visa, which leads to a 10-year green card.
To learn more about the differences between CR-1 and IR-1 visas, including the rights and responsibilities associated with each, visit our detailed guide.
Consular Processing is the process of applying for a U.S. immigrant visa from outside the United States. It typically involves an interview at your home country’s U.S. embassy or consulate.
To learn more about Consular Processing and how it applies to marriage green cards, visit our detailed guide.
Choosing the right visa pathway can be confusing. If you’re dreaming of living together in the U.S. but haven’t tied the knot yet, you have two main options: the K-1 fiancé visa and the CR-1 spousal visa.
The best option depends on your priorities and circumstances. Consider these factors:
- Marriage timeline: Are you planning to marry soon or after arriving in the U.S.?
- Cost: Are you looking for the most affordable option?
- Overall timeline: How quickly do you want your fiancé(e)/spouse to have a green card?
Still unsure? Take our visa planning quiz to understand your options
While removing conditions requires different evidence than your initial green card, we’ve simplified the process into clear, manageable steps. Many of our customers find it easier than their initial application because we’ve designed our platform specifically for the removal of conditions process. A key difference is that the government focuses on the period after you received your initial green card. Therefore, the evidence you provide must be unique to the past two years and demonstrate the ongoing bona fides of your marriage during that time.
In order to maintain such a high success rate for our customers, every application that is completed through Boundless goes through a rigorous quality assurance process with four different reviews. This includes a thorough review by an experienced Boundless Document Review Specialist to catch any common errors or mistakes before you submit your application to the U.S. government.
Don’t worry – our service includes full support for responding to any Requests for Evidence (RFEs). Our team will help you understand exactly what USCIS is asking for, guide you in gathering the additional documents, and ensure your response is thorough and submitted on time.
If you have specific legal questions and would like to consult with an immigration attorney before proceeding with Boundless, you may be interested in Boundless’ Ask My Attorney (AMA) service. AMA is a subscription service where subscribers pay $79 to get 30-minute consultations with Boundless-affiliated independent immigration attorneys. Learn more about Ask My Attorney.
If you were married less than 2 years after obtaining permanent residence through marriage, you likely received a “conditional” green card valid for just 2 years. Before it expires, you’ll need to file Form I-751 (officially called the “Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence”) to receive a “permanent” green card that’s renewable every 10 years. You can learn more about the removal of conditions process in Boundless’ guide.
The best time to begin is 6 months before your conditional green card expires. While you can only file within the 90-day window before expiration, starting early with Boundless ensures you’ll have plenty of time to gather the right evidence and submit a strong application.

Not directly, but some investors later transition to immigrant categories (EB-5, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, employment sponsorship). Boundless can advise on long-term planning.
In many cases, you can file a change of status via Form I-129. If applying from abroad, you’ll go through a U.S. embassy or consulate.
E-2 status is typically granted in up to two-year increments (visa validity periods vary by treaty country). You can renew indefinitely as long as the business continues to meet E-2 requirements.
